Guests at Tigerlily, Edinburgh's exclusive new boutique hotel, are sitting comfortably thanks to Knightsbridge Furniture. 24 of the company's new Valencia bar stools have been specified for the Tigerlily's two bar areas, whilst additional chairs from the Knightsbridge Panama collection have been supplied for occasional seating within the hotel's 33 suites.
Sited behind an elegant Georgian facade on George Street, Edinburgh, Tigerlily is the latest member of the city's award-winning Montpeliers Group, and opened to its first guests in June 2006. Interior designers for the project were Graven Images of Glasgow, who were responsible for placing the £10,000 order for contract seating within the hotel with the Yorkshire-based Knightsbridge Furniture.
Striking Valencia bar stools in both the Main and Georgian bars mirror the understated elegance of their surroundings. Dramatic tapered legs in a rich wenge wood stain finish are complemented by a generous padded back and seat, with fixed upholstery in Romo Fabrics, Ebze range in a bold fuchsia colourway.
Created by Knightsbridge to combine elegance with all-round comfort, the upright chairs from the Panama collection installed in the Tigerlily guest suites also feature polished wooden legs. Fixed seats and graceful arms create a relaxed appearance, with upholstery in Designers Guild colourways specially chosen to suit each individual room.
The full Panama collection includes the upright version selected for the Tigerlily together with compact and easy chairs in armed and armless versions, plus standard and compact sofas. The collection is available in a variety of standard and bespoke finishes and fabrics to order.
