New from Design at Knightsbridge at the recent Sleep Event 2011 was Mondrian, a distinctive easy chair to enhance hotel lounge and reception areas, guest suites and social gathering points.

Inspired by the powerful style of Pieter Mondrian, the new chair has been created for Design at Knightsbridge by consultant James A Wright and is characterised by the artist's idiosyncratic geometry and simple, uncluttered lines.

Upholstery is in either fabric or hide to suit customer requirements and the design lends itself to two-tone interpretation. To complement the upholstery, Mondrian chairs are offered with show-wood in six standard finishes (Cherry, Wenge, Mahogany, Oak, Beech or Walnut), supported by a polish matching service.

Other newcomers are the development of successful Design at Knightsbridge introductions at previous shows. The company's sophisticated new Lucia desk chairs follows the launch of Lucia fine dining chairs, whilst Mollie club and upright chairs have evolved from the Millie seating unveiled in 2009.
